Our Relationship

We perceive our relationship with parents and care givers as being part of a team supporting our mission and core beliefs. Parent involvement is welcomed. This is encouraged by requesting:

help with the implementation of a range of programs;
participation in the school decision making process
through the P&C and Schools Board; and
support for the ongoing development of school resources and facilities.

Parent Liaisons – parents nominated by teachers to assist the class in liaising between parents and the school

Community

At Mount Hawthorn Primary School we value the involvement and relationships we have with the local community. We foster these connections through:

Local business partnerships
Strong relationship with the City of Vincent
Participate in the decision-making process of the school through the Schools Board and the P&C
Support for the ongoing development of school resources and facilities
Promote a culture of success by developing opportunities to highlight and celebrate achievements via school awards, assemblies and through the school website in regular newsletters and flyers
Seek opportunities to develop special projects that will ensure the school continues to strive for improvement and provide teaching and learning opportunities for all
Support of RSL activities and continuing relationship with our local sub-branch
