Harmony Day Sing-A-Long

Friday 20 March 2020

WE ARE ONE BUT WE ARE MANY

What a wonderful day of celebration we enjoyed at school today! Our new look PA Assembly presented by the Student Councillors and Mrs Hardman leading the whole school singing “We Are Australian” was a huge hit with our students and the wider community.
Well done to Year 5 Room 47 and Mr T, the live stream of your singing on our Facebook page was amazing!
As Harmony Day suggests, our service was about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging. Never has this been more poignant.

WHAT DOES HARMONY DAY MEAN TO YOU?

Harmony Day means:

Community, participation, inclusiveness, celebrating diversity, respect and belonging.

Orange signifies social communication and meaningful conversations.

It is also a sign of freedom of ideas and encouragement of mutual respect.
