Our Student Councillors were recently elected by their fellow Year 6 students to represent all students in the school.  The student Councillors meet every Thursday for Assembly preparation.  They also meet once week to discuss school matters.

Being a Councillor provides students with an opportunity to develop leadership by organising and carrying out school activities and service projects.

In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare, the Student Council is the voice of the student body.  In this context they will bring up a concern at meetings and then we work together to develop solutions.  The Councillors give up their lunchtimes for these meetings but advise us that seeing their work come to fruition makes it all worthwhile.

I look forward to working with them.

Our Faction Captains and Sport Leaders will be working closely with each other to assist with the smooth running and organisation of sport events. These events include the school tennis tournament, daily tennis play at recess and lunch and all Friday sport lessons. Other duties include keeping the sports shed tidy and making sure all classrooms are supplied with appropriate sports equipment.

During Term 2 , duties will involve winter sport organisation and faction footy leadership roles.

The Faction Captains have the added responsibility of leading their respective factions to the sports carnivals and being good role models and speaking at carnivals.
