A HAT TRICK FOR BRAITHWAITE – 2017, 2018 and now 2019!

The brilliant Braithwaite swim team blitzed their opposition to win the carnival for the third year. Braithwaite captains and champions, Leanne and James, were inspirational leading their team to an incredible 601 points, the highest point score ever achieved in a carnival.  Every Braithwaite team member contributed, with almost 100% of Braithwaite students competing in 50m or 25m events. The Braithwaite bay was awash with ribbons.

Axford inched ahead of Shakespeare early in the day and while Shakespeare mounted a valiant effort, it came down to the relays, and awesome Axford were up to the challenge and maintained 2nd place faction overall with Shakespeare a very close third.  This was a huge step forward for Axford coming from 4th place in 2018.

Menzies were fourth placed in the carnival, struggling for points, without enough 50m swimmers, but their never give-up attitude won them the Bonus point shield. Congratulations Menzies!

All the factions and competitors can be very proud of their sportsmanship and positive attitude on the day.  All our champions, listed below, produced stunning results and even PB times. Fantastic work from what will be the core of our interschool team.

Brilliant organisation by Mrs Putt with support from Ms Kenny and Mrs Townsend and an amazing job by all staff and parents ensured a fantastic and successful carnival.
