Aussie of the Month
Recognising and Celebrating
Active Citizenship in our school.
This program recognises personal endeavour, achievement and contribution to the community and reflects some of the values we share as Australians, such as fair go, mateship, respect and inclusion.
It aims to encourage an appreciation of the diversity and depth of personal contribution and achievement possible within our school, and bring about increased concern and consideration for all members of the school community.
Year 4 – Lily F, Matilda M and Evie E
Year 5 – Harrison F and Savannah M
These Year 4 and 5 students held a loom band and lemonade stall on Sunday 21 May and raised $380.20 for Youth Focus.
Youth Focus is a charity that concentrates on providing accommodation for homeless youths as well as aiding young mothers and babies.
The children handed out some flyers to their friends before the stall sale which was held on Federation Street. It ran for 1.5 hours and attracted great community support.
These students have been presented with a badge and Certificate by Mr Mackesey to acknowledge their commitment and civic responsibility, which reflects the values of our school.
