Winter Carnival
On Thursday, 29 June our Year 6 and Room 21 Year 5 students completed their Term 2 Winter sports by participating in the Winter Lightening Carnival. The weather was magnificent and all students should be congratulated on their fantastic behaviour and sportsmanship. All students participated in soccer, AFL, modcrosse or netball against Wembley, West Balcatta, Subiaco and Highgate Primary Schools.
This year Mount Hawthorn Primary School was very successful in the netball to win A&B division and modcrosse B won as well. A special thank you to our parent coaches Charlie and Emma for helping on the day.
Interschool Cross Country
On Wednesday, 21 June selected students from Year 3 to 6 participated in the City Beach Cross Country. This year Mount Hawthorn came 4th from 9 schoolswhich was achieved by all the hard training the competitors completed with the help of Raf Baugh from Frontrunners, in preparation for this event. Many students placed in the top 10 for their gender and age group. congratulations to all these students.
