Earlier this year, Mount Hawthorn Primary School raised over $500 for the Children’s Leukaemia and Cancer Research Foundation (CLCRF).
For a gold coin donation, students signed their names on a length of yellow ribbon. When all the participating community groups returned their ribbons to the foundation, they were sewn together to try to beat the Guinness World Record for the Longest Awareness Ribbon. The mission was certainly accomplished when the previously held world record (1247m) was beaten by over 693m and a new record set at 1940m.
It was a fantastic effort that brought many community groups together for a great cause. Well done to everyone involved. Click HERE to read the full article.
