MHPS is a busy school with a clear focus. Each day that I spend listening to the students, staff and parents helps me to further appreciate the shared dedication our students enjoy from our community members and partners. MHPS students have benefited from outstanding planning and linked fundraising on an enormous scale throughout 2016.
Canteen refurbishment is proceeding thanks to the P&C to the value of approximately $35 000
A shade sail project is well underway for the junior playground equipment, again supported through the P&C to the value of $17 700
$40 000 was contributed for curriculum resources which have been directly fed into learning resources and the learning environment (including Kindy shade sails and nature scape project)
An oval rebuild is in a planning stage which will be partly funded by the Dept. of Education but mainly through the P&C. The approximate value will be in excess of $100 000 (watch this space!)
Thank you to all involved, the difference these contributions are making continue to help build MHPS into an even greater school.
Voluntary contributions are currently at 86%. It is not too late to consider your $60 per child voluntary contribution and it will make a big difference. We are happy to accept payment via credit card (Visa or Mastercard), cash or cheque at the school office. Thank you to those families who have made this contribution in 2016.
